Shortlisted in the Leaders in Sports Awards

In 2020 Cadbury partnered with over 20 different UK football clubs, supporting them and their local communities through a whole host of different initiatives and activations. From helping small businesses, supporting the elderly and building stadium facilities, to donating over £1m worth of product and media assets, it was all about changing the game for those who needed it most.

It was time to shout about the amazing work they’d done – but how to sum up such a breadth of activation, and bring to life the emotion behind the campaign in one piece of social content? Throw in being in the middle of a pandemic where shooting assets was impossible and you have yourself a creative challenge.

Written by us and performed by mental-health campaigner Hussain Manawer, we created a 2 minute spoken word film that heroed content from every club, capturing the spirit of these important partnerships and articulating our key message – that football’s much better when we club together.
